WIST,March 20 --The School of Business and Trade(SBT)organized a group of eight Thai international students to visit the East Lakeon Wednesday. They rode bicycles,enjoyedthe cherry blossoms, took photos, tasted local delicacies, and experienced traditional Chu culture. Theyspenta fulfilling and enjoyable day.

In March, the East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden is filled with cherry blossoms, creating a dreamy scene. At 9:30 a.m., Xia Guang, a counselorof SBT, along withtheassistantsaccompanied eight international students majoring in Modern Logistics Management on a subway ride to the Wuhan East Lake Eco-tourism Scenic Area. They entered the Tingtao Scenic Area throughLiyuan (the Pear Garden)and leisurely walked along the lakeside corridor. The combination of the greenway, the lake, and the blue sky formed a beautiful picture. Xia introduced the students to the story of Qu Yuan(ca.340-278B.C.E.),a famous ancient Chinese poet who “swam in the rivers and recited along the riverbank,” as well as the metasequoia trees,the endemic treesintheEast Lake. Riding bicycles along the East Lake Greenway, they enjoyed the scenic views.

After the tour, everyone was amazed by the beautiful scenery oftheEast Lake and recordedthewonderful moments inhis/her e-album. Zhang Xiaole, an internatioanl studentshared thestunningview with hisfriends in Thailand through a video call, and they greatly praised it. This tourto theEast Lake not only enrichestheirlivesin Chinabut also allows them to have a deeper understanding of Wuhan’s natural landscapes and cultural heritage, according to the international students.
